On Saturday, March 28, 2015 at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church in Toronto, Ontario, at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Lazarus Saturday, Bishop John (Pazak) ordained Subdeacon Tom Hrywna to the Diaconate. Participating in this service was Very Rev. Bohdan Bilinsky (Protosyncellus) and Very Rev. John Tataryn (Pastor), Fr. Peter Galadza (Acting Director, MASI), plus many other clergy and other MASI students. Bishop Stephen (Chmilar) had unfortunately taken ill a few days before and was unable to serve at this ordination. Fr. Deacon Tom is incardinated to the Eparchy of Toronto. He will return to Ottawa for the rest of this academic year and then prepare for a period of pastoral internship. Together with all the family, friends, and parishioners of St. Demtrius, we offer our heartfelt AXIOS!
